Following the completion of the main runway upgrade, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight made its first landing at the Quetta International Airport on Wednesday. At 6:20 in the morning, flight PK-325 from Islamabad made a successful landing as the airport was just starting to open.
The expanded runway can now handle bigger aircraft like the Boeing 777 and other passenger aircraft. The airport manager and project director were present to oversee the landing of the flight.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has expanded the taxiway and apron area, installed contemporary flight management technology, and upgraded the runway at Quetta Airport. These changes are intended to enhance passenger services and flight operations.
This development is especially significant for Baloch citizens because it will give them access to travel services offered by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the country’s flag carrier, as well as other airlines, during Hajj operations. For visitors to the area, the improved facilities will increase convenience and effectiveness.
