Vladimir Putin has vowed to protect the four Ukrainian territories seized to Russia by “any means necessary” in the largest land grab since World War Two.
As his seven-month conflict moves into a terrible new phase, the dictator conducted a big signing ceremony at the Kremlin today to officially welcome the parts of Ukraine that were taken to Russia.
Following a series of fake referendums, Putin will officially sign decrees designating Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia as Russian territory.
At a signing ceremony held in the Georgievsky Hall of the Great Kremlin Palace, the merciless land grab became official.
Putin arrived late to the large gathering of his allies and then launched into a protracted, pointless tirade.
“People have made their choice – and that choice is beyond any dispute,” he stated in his speech.
The Russian leader vowed to “defend our land with all means” – and said the people living in the stolen Ukrainian regions are “our citizens forever”.
“People living in Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson region and Zaporizhzhia region are becoming our citizens forever,” he said.
“We will defend our land with all our strength and all our means.”
The spectators were dejected and seemed to clap on cue as the dictator droned on for almost an hour.
