For all of its teaching departments, institutions, centres, schools, and constituent colleges, the Punjab University has extended the winter break.
According to Deputy Registrar (Academics), Abdul Hameed Khan’s official announcement, the university would be closed till December 8 due to a rapid dip in temperature.
The statement added that throughout the Christmas break, the administrative staff of all teaching departments, institutions, centres, schools, and constituent colleges will continue to be on duty as usual.
Punjab University had announced winter break from 26 to 30 December on December 20. On January 2, classes were scheduled to start up again.
In response to a drop in temperature, Punjab’s School Education Department (SED) and Higher Education Department (HED) extended the winter break in schools and colleges earlier today.
The Christmas break has now been extended until January 8 in both public and private schools and institutions, according to separate notices from SED and HED in this respect. The academic activities in the province will resume on 9 January.
