Imran Khan, a former prime minister and the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), said on Tuesday that the lengthy march would begin on Friday, October 28, at Lahore’s Liberty Chowk.
According to the information supplied, the anti-government long march would start on Friday at 11:00 am, and the PTI chairman will give his final statement of the first day at Azadi Chowk.
The PTI has revealed the route for the march’s first day. “The long march will travel down Ferozpur Road, starting at Kalma Chowk. Details state that Shahdara Chowk will be the starting point for the march the next day.
The party’s leadership has given its members instructions on how to start a PR campaign and set up camps along the march’s route.
At a press conference yesterday in Lahore, the PTI chairman declared, “We will move towards Islamabad with the nation from GT Road.” There is no set deadline for when the upcoming long march would end, according to the PTI leader.
According to sources, more law enforcement units have been deployed in Islamabad to handle the long march that the PTI chairman announced.
“Steps being taken to implement a plan of blocking roads,” according to sources. “Containers have already brought to various points to block the roads and arrangements being made to keep the cranes standby for placing containers,” sources said.
“Containers to block roads have been present at Faizabad T-Chowk and on adjoining roads,” sources added.
