Due to “technical issues in the fibre network after heavy rains,” Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd. (PTCL) internet services are being affected nationwide.
In a message sent to users via its official Twitter account, PTCL stated: “PTCL’s fibre network is experiencing some technical difficulties due to severe rainfall and floods.” Users of PTCL in the northern and central regions are consequently experiencing internet outages.
Due to heavy rains and floods, PTCL's optical fiber network is experiencing some technical faults. As a result, PTCL users in Northern and Central regions are facing Internet outage. Our teams are working to restore the services on priority.

The telecom regulator stated that teams are monitoring the situation and striving to restore services as soon as possible.
The statement further mentioned that the PTA is keeping an eye on the situation and will update consumers.
According to a Friday morning report from Geo News, PTCL internet services are unavailable nationwide.
This includes private organisations’, individual users’, and all workplaces’ internet connections.
