Aakash Chopra, a former cricketer for India, referred to the HBL Pakistan Super League as the “second greatest league” in the world, behind the lucrative Indian Premier League (IPL).
A former batsman praised the just-completed SA T20 in a tweet on Monday, saying that it may take the place of the PSL as the second-best league.
“#SA20 was such a lovely cricketing spectacle…packed houses. Good cricket. League has the potential to be the second best T20 league after the IPL. Currently, I feel it’s the PSL. Which incidentally is starting today too. BBL-CPL lagged behind,” Chopra stated.

After defeating Pretoria Capitals in the championship match on Sunday, The Sunrisers Eastern Cape was named the first SA20 champions.
Foreign players frequently consider the PSL to be one of the top leagues, and they particularly compliment it for the excellent caliber of its bowling.
Multan Sultans, the 2021 champions and last year’s finalists, take on Lahore Qalandars at the Multan Cricket Stadium as the eighth season of the HBL Pakistan Super League gets underway today, February 13.
In addition to taking home the Supernova Trophy and a check for PKR120 million, the victor of the March 19 final at the Gaddafi Stadium will also get a check for PKR48 million.
