PSL 8 Opening Ceremony: The opening ceremony and first game of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8 will take place at Multan Cricket Stadium on February 13.
The stadium’s gates will open tomorrow at 2 PM, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). To prevent traffic jams, fans are asked to be at the stadium as soon as possible.
The first game, between the reigning champions Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans, will begin at 8 p.m. after the opening ceremony at 6 p.m.

Along with Asim Azhar, Shae Gill, and Faris Shafi, who will sing the PSL 8 official anthem, Sahir Ali Bagga and Aima Baig will also perform during the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony will feature Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technology for the first time in PSL’s history. Drones will be used to throw up a light show to entertain cricket fans around the world.
PCB, under Najam Sethi’s direction, is committed to making this year’s PSL larger and better. Sethi repeated that the PSL brand has to be updated in his press briefings after regaining control of the PCB.
“The PSL 8 will be a massive event for the PCB, taking place at the four iconic venues with the world’s best T20 cricketers in action. We aim to make the PSL bigger, better and stronger than ever before with the overarching ambition to make it the first-choice event for leading T20 cricketers,” he had said.
Sethi and his team increased PSL’s branding budget from $100,000 to $1 million.
