Young athletes have always used the Pakistan Super League as a springboard to break through on the big stage. Many aspiring cricketers will have the opportunity to succeed with the eighth PSL season just around the corner.
Several local athletes are anticipated to compete in the PSL for the first time this season, including top domestic performances and standout players from the Pakistan Junior League.
Aamer Jamal, a Pakistani bowler who recently played against England in a T20I, will play for Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL while Test batter Saud Shakeel will represent Quetta Gladiators. Sufyan Muqeem, a fresh talent, and Haseebullah Khan, a promising U-19 batter, have also joined Peshawar Zalmi.
Both PJL players Aimal Khan and Arafat Minhas will make their professional debuts for the Quetta Gladiators and the Multan Sultans, respectively. Mohammad “Karnal” Zahid, a well-known tennis player, will also play for the Quetta Gladiators alongside Omar Bin Yousuf, while Mohammad Sarwar Afridi will play for the Multan Sultans.
Lahore Qalandars signed Ahsan Bhatti, Shawaiz Irfan, and Mirza Tahir Baig as developing players. Irfan Khan Niazi and Tayyab Tahir will play for Karachi Kings, while Hassan Nawaz will represent Islamabad United. Many potential stars are anticipated to be discovered in the forthcoming season, which kicks off on February 13th, given the intriguing local talent ready to support the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League.
