Dasun Shanaka, the captain of Sri Lanka’s white-ball team, has joined Peshawar Zalmi for the current HBL Pakistan Super League season eight (PSL).
On Friday, Shanaka posted the aforementioned information on his Instagram story.
The Sri Lankan skipper will play for the Babar-led Zalmi with his countryman Bhanuka Rajapaksa.
Rovman Powell, an all-rounder from the West Indies, has also joined the Zalmi team before of their match against the Multan Sultans.
The HBL PSL 8 injury list is becoming longer as Karachi Kings bowler Mir Hamza was just declared ineligible for the remainder of the competition.
The left-arm pacer suffered a finger fracture on Tuesday against Peshawar Zalmi in Karachi’s opening game. Akif Javed, another left-arm pacer, took his spot.
Likewise, Wayne Parnell of South Africa will miss this year’s PSL owing to injury. Brathwaite has taken his position in the Sultans’ squad.
