On February 5, Quetta’s Bugti Stadium will play host to an exhibition game between the Quetta Gladiators and the Peshawar Zalmi.
Beginning on January 30, tickets for the eagerly anticipated match will go on sale. Each ticket costs PKR 20. Bolan Cricket Stadium, Bugti Stadium, Jan Mall, Mariabad (Gulzari Travels), and Airport Road are places where fans can get tickets (Almehmood Mart).
This exhibition game will be held by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in coordination with the Baluchistan administration as a lead-up to the forthcoming eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The celebrity-studded competition will begin at 8am (PST). PCB is negotiating live coverage with broadcasters.
Team purple will be captained by Sarfaraz Ahmed, while team yellow by Babar Azam. Star cricketers like Shahid Afridi, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Haris, Danish Aziz, and Saim Ayub will join Babar in his squad.
Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Hasnain, Naseem Shah, and Umar Akmal will be on Sarfaraz’s purple team.
Najam Sethi made the announcement to host a few PSL 8 matches in Quetta shortly after taking over as chairman of the PCB management committee, pending to security clearance. Later, Sethi revealed at a news conference that Quetta was unable to prepare in time to host PSL games.
Here it should be remembered that Gladiators will host Houston Hurricanes for three T20 games in Karachi as part of another PSL 8 prelude. On January 29, 30, and 31, all three games will be held at National Stadium Karachi.
PSL 8 will be held in Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi from February 13 to March 19. For the first time in PSL history, Multan will host the league’s opening ceremony.
