Mohammad Amir, a pacer for the Karachi Kings, recently revealed that whether he is bowling to Babar Azam or a tailender, it is the same for him.
The left-arm bowler told a local television station that his goal is to get wickets regardless of the batsman who is at the crease.
Players are kept alert by these types of contests and player rivalries. I enjoy these obstacles because they help me stay focused, said Amir.
It won’t matter to me if I’m facing Babar or a tailender playing at number 10, my duty is to take wickets and help my side win games, he continued.
Babar, the captain of Peshawar Zalmi, has also downplayed his animosity with his former teammate from Karachi Kings.
When asked if he will use his fundamental strategies against Amir in the aforementioned match, Babar responded that he always did.
“The league benefits always from the competition. In addition to Karachi, every team boasts competent local bowlers. Because it is a top-notch league, that is why all international players participate in it”, according to Babar. “I stick to my fundamentals when I play against any quality bowler.”
Tuesday’s HBL PSL 8 opener between Babar-led Zalmi and Kings will take place at Karachi’s National Bank Cricket Arena.
