On Sunday, the Karachi Kings defeated the Multan Sultans by a score of 66 runs, but not without some foul language being exchanged on the field.
Ihsanullah entered the crease to bat after Anwar Ali was dismissed in the 16th over, and Imad can be heard in the background telling Akif Javed to just bowl bouncers to Ihsanullah instead of full length deliveries.
Imad called Ihsanullah a derogatory name while delivering these instructions.
“Don’t bowl full delivery to this ******, only bowl bouncers,” said Imad.
Ihsanullah received a leg slip from Imad right away. He ultimately survived three balls from Akif and was left unbeaten on naught as his team was dismissed for 101 runs in the next over.
The tournament’s top wicket-taker, the lanky Sultans bowler, has been a thorn in the side of the Karachi Kings since he bowled economic periods against them in the previous two games.
During his Karachi Kings’ one-run loss against Islamabad United in the 21st game of the HBL Pakistan Super League 2022 at the Gaddafi Stadium, Imad was fined 5% of his match fee for a Level 1 violation of the PSL Code of Conduct.
Imad was judged to have broken PSL Article 2.5, which prohibits using “language, actions, or gestures which denigrate or which might elicit a violent reaction from a batter following his/her ejection during a PSL Match.”
