A probable road rage shooting that HCSO deputies are investigating in north Harris County on Friday afternoon resulted in the shooting of a 20-year-old pregnant woman and her 17-year-old boyfriend, who later died at a hospital.
Sgt. B. Beall claims that it occurred on the 200 block of Airtex Drive close to Ella Boulevard.
The couple was travelling past the 200 block of Airtex Drive in a blue Nissan Altima when a white Volkswagen Jetta sped up next to them.
The Volkswagen’s driver eventually produced a revolver and fired at least five times at the couple’s car’s driver’s side.

According to Sgt. Beall, the boyfriend was shot in the neck while his pregnant girlfriend, who seemed to be eight months along, was struck twice.
Both were taken right away to a local hospital, where the pregnant woman passed away. Her child did not make it.
At this point, the boyfriend’s status was stable.
Although witnesses told deputies that there had not been any interaction between the two drivers prior to the shooting, Sgt. Beall stated that deputies are classifying this incident as a road rage incident.
It is unclear at this time if the couple were targeted.
