Poonch Local Bodies Election Result 2022: In Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), the first round of local government elections has finally begun after 31 years.
Three districts of the Muzaffarabad Division—Neelum Valley, Jhelum Valley, and Muzaffarabad—are holding elections. It will go on till 5:00 p.m.
There are approximately 2,725 candidates running for the 614 local body seats. Of the applicants, 31 are female.
In the meantime, 19 candidates were already elected as council members without any opposition.
There are approximately 1,223 voting places and booths set up for the elections, including 530 combined polling places and 397 male and 387 female stations.
There are 900 independent candidates among the 575 from the PTI, 465 from the PML-N, 545 from the PPP, 113 from the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference, 67 from the TLP, and 46 from the JI.
