A man from New Jersey was startled when he discovered a snake in his residence, hidden behind the refrigerator. He quickly dialed for snake rescuers, who transported the reptile to Liberty Humane Society, where a piebald ball python was determined to be what it was. These are brown or orange snakes with noticeable white patches and unpigmented skin stripes, often known as pied ball pythons.
Rescuers gave the snake the name “Banana” and discovered it on the 29th floor of an apartment in the Newport neighborhood, according to a Facebook post from the humane charity. Meanwhile, the rescuers are looking for the snake’s owner. It’s interesting to note that the piebald morph of the ball python is one of the most sought-after species of this reptile maintained as a pet in America.
‘Banana,’ a gorgeous piebald ball python morph, is not a threat, but we suppose to some folks a surprise snake might look like an emergency!’ Liberty Humane Society uploaded a video of the snake on Facebook. “Banana” arrived at LHS today when a local neighbor saw them hiding behind their refrigerator, became distressed, and phoned JCPD. Did we mention that their flat was on the 29th floor and was located in the Newport district?

If no owner is found within 7 days, the snake will be placed up for adoption, according to the rescuers.
It should be noted that the pied ball python is a special color variation of the common ball python.
The friendly, sluggish, and non-venomous ball pythons, which are native to West and Central Africa, are one of the most popular pets for snake aficionados and breeders. When threatened, the ball python is noted for coiling into a tight ball as a form of defense.
A co-dominant genetic expression is the cause of their distinctive coloration and patterns. Because of habitat degradation and hunting, the ball python is almost extinct in the wild.
