Phoenix shooting: After a shooting broke out outside of a motel, THREE persons were killed and TWO police officers were hurt.
After hearing about the gunshot, police hurried to the Days Inn in Phoenix, Arizona, on Sunday.
According to 3TV, two persons were discovered dead at the scene near Interstate 17 and three others reportedly had injuries.
Their injuries’ full extent is still unknown.
The unnamed suspect was discovered dead, according to Phoenix police chief Jeri Williams.
The police officers who were hurt in the gunfight are believed to be recovering well in the hospital.
Dramatic cellphone video appeared to show police shooting at the shooter as they pursued him down the street, according to LLN Arizona.
Williams said: “Once again, this is another example of gun violence in our community.
“How many more officers have to be shot?
“This is not a Phoenix police issue, this is a community issue. If not now, when?”
Phoenix police officers described the scene as “very complex”.
The shooting’s motivation is being looked into, and drivers have been advised to stay away from the area.
It happened shortly after two guys were killed early on Sunday morning at a house party in south Phoenix.
The victims, both 21 years old, were named as Xavier Martinez and Robert Puentes.
After being shot, a third man was discovered and sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
Before bullets were fired, neighbours informed CBS5 that they heard “commotion.”
In addition, three people have died after a shooting at a Safeway store in Bend, Oregon, including the gunman.
