
The administration has agreed to maintain the current pricing of gasoline and high-speed diesel through June 30.
Ishaq Dar, the finance minister, made the price shift official in a televised address. Beginning on June 16, the revised prices will be in effect.
During the most recent fortnightly review of petroleum product pricing, the government lowered the cost of gasoline by Rs. 8 per liter and the cost of high-speed diesel by Rs. 5 per liter.
The government had previously reduced the cost of gasoline and high-speed diesel by 12 and 30 rupees per liter, respectively, at the time of the previous review.
The price of gasoline decreased by Rs. 20 per liter as a result of the last two modifications, while the cost of high-speed diesel decreased by Rs. 35 per liter.
