The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) prepares a summary which is forwarded to the Ministry of Finance for approval and then it is sent to the PM Office for final approval.
Earlier Miftah Ismail the federal minister of finance and revenue, stated that the Petrol price in Pakistan will either decrease or increase by Rs. 80 tomorrow (Sunday).
Miftah predicted that the US dollar will weaken against the Pakistani rupee in but insisted that the government would not stifle the trend.
The finance minister gave the people who were sick of inflation hope that the cost of power would go down by October. According to him, “the government spared consumers who use up to 300 units from the fuel costs adjustment (FCA) in August and September bills, but a decision regarding the FCA being charged after that will be taken later.”
