According to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, the government of Pakistan has chosen to leave the price of petrol and diesel constant for the next two weeks.
“…we received a recommendation from the regulatory authorities to increase the price of petrol and diesel,” the finance minister, who assumed office in September last year, said during a televised speech.
However, after consulting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, FinMin Dar stated that his ministry has chosen to keep the prices of the two most commonly used petroleum products constant.
