Usman Arshad, a young man from Okara, set a record by walking 5400 kilometers to reach the holy city of Mecca for the Hajj.
On October 1, 2022, Usman set out on his journey from his Punjabi hometown. He passed through a number of towns and countries, including Quetta and Iran, where he had trouble obtaining a visa and was forced to travel by sea to Dubai.
He remained focused on his goal despite encountering numerous difficulties such as inclement weather, difficult terrain, and visa issues while making his pilgrimage on foot.
Usman posted updates and pictures of his journey on social media, where he regularly updated his progress and attracted attention from people all over the world.
After a journey by foot that lasted six months and thirteen days, he eventually arrived in Mecca and performed the Umrah.
