Pakistan has the chance to overtake New Zealand as the top-ranked One Day International (ODI) team in the world if they win the fourth game of the five-match series today in Karachi.

Pakistan has an unbeatable 3-0 series lead after winning the first three games with three straight victories.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) reported that Pakistan’s performance in the current one-day international (ODI) series against New Zealand has moved them up to third place with a rating of 106 in the ODI rankings. New Zealand has slipped from second to fifth place during this time.

According to a press release from the International Cricket Council (ICC), Pakistan is currently ranked third in one-day internationals (ODIs) with a rating of 112, just behind Australia (113.286) and India (112.638).

Pakistan will overtake both Australia and India and take the top spot with a rating of 113.483 if they win the fourth ODI, dropping Australia to second and India to third.

Pakistan needs to sweep the series 5-0 in order to maintain their lead in the ODI rankings. But if they lose the final game, they will drop to third place, allowing Australia to reclaim first place.

If Pakistan wins the fourth ODI and the fifth match is called off or a no-result, they can also maintain their top spot.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) released a statement saying that New Zealand’s chances of taking the top spot in the ODI rankings have been dashed after they lost three games in a row to Pakistan in their current series. Prior to the series, the Black Caps were ranked second, but have now dropped to fifth with a rating of 108. The ICC stated that if New Zealand wins the final two ODIs, the best finish they could currently secure is third.
