According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the western and upper areas of the country are likely to see rain/thunderstorms with snowfall over the hills.
A westerly disturbance will arrive in the nation on February 8th, according to the most recent PMD bulletin. On February 9, it will reach the upper regions and last through February 10.
From February 8 to 10, snowfall is anticipated in Murree, Galliyat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) due to the effect of this weather system.
The PMD has issued a warning that during the anticipated period, snowfall may result in the closure of roads in Murree, Galliyat, Naran, Kaghan, Swat, Astore, Hunza, Skardu, Neelum Valley, and Bagh.
Additionally, it has indicated the potential for landslides in the upper KP, GB, AJK, Murree, and Galliyat. Tourists are urged to use caution throughout the anticipated period by the PMD.
