The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts that temperatures will rise steadily during the week in the majority of the nation and that heat wave-like conditions may occur in some regions.
The daytime temperatures are expected to progressively rise in most areas of the country from June 20 to 24 due to the presence of high pressure in the upper atmosphere, according to the most recent PMD advisory.
In upper and central Punjab, Islamabad, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, daytime temperatures are predicted to continue 04–06°C–above normal, while they will be 02–04°C–above normal in Sindh, South Punjab, and portions of Balochistan.
The plains of the country and hilly areas are predicted to have isolated dust/thunderstorms with rain at times (in pockets).
Power and water demand will climb over the next few days as a result of the temperature rise. In many facets of life, prudent use of electricity and water is required.
Farmers are encouraged to control crop watering in accordance with their needs. The general public is encouraged to stay out of the sun whenever possible.
