Beginning tonight (Saturday) and continuing through Tuesday, the upper and central parts of the country are expected to see thundershowers and winds.
Meanwhile, hot and muggy weather is predicted for the next three to four days in southern regions.
Weak monsoon currents are entering the upper and central areas of the country from the Arabian Sea, according to information provided by the Met Office.
This weather system is likely to cause rain-wind-thundershowers with isolated heavy falls in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sheikhupura, Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin (Tuesday).
The 4 and 5 September are also expected to bring rain-wind-thundershowers with sporadic heavy falls to Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Malakand, Bajaur, Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda, Swabi, Nowshera, Kurram, Kohat, and Waziristan.
The next three to four days are expected to be hot and muggy across Sindh, Balochistan, and South Punjab, according to the Met Office.
Additionally, it has issued a warning that the anticipated rainfall may result in landslides in Kashmir, mountainous KP, Galiyat, and Murree.
