For help with various aspects of managing their diabetes, people in Pakistan now have access to Diabot, a new AI-driven diabetes assistant.
According to experts, this cutting-edge tool can identify a person’s diabetes status, facilitate appointments with diabetologists, and provide helpful advice on controlling blood sugar levels through diet management and physical activity.
The “Discovering Diabetes” Project, which began in 2021 and has since engaged over 300,000 people throughout Pakistan, includes Diabot as a key element. It is anticipated that this AI-powered solution will increase its reach to millions of diabetics who have not yet received a diagnosis and help them manage their condition.
The project manager for Discovering Diabetes, Syed Jamshed Ahmed, stated:
This cutting-edge tool provides tailored medication reminders, dietary advice, lifestyle suggestions, and drug information. Diabot will connect any caller to the finding diabetes helpline at 0800-66766.
According to Syed Jamshed Ahmed, the decision to use artificial intelligence was made as a result of the overwhelming number of calls that the toll-free “Discovering Diabetes” hotline received.
As a result, “Diabot,” an AI-driven tool made to answer common people’s questions about diabetes, was created. In addition to offering advice on maintaining a healthy diet, Diabot also offers suggestions on how many calories to consume to support fitness and general well-being.
He stated that in order to broaden Diabot’s knowledge base, the project’s team also intends to add advisory boards in the future.
