Two flagship smartphones, the OnePlus 12 and Oppo Find X7 Pro, are expected to go on sale later this year, most likely following Qualcomm’s October announcement of its new flagship processor. Online leaks of specifications for both phones’ upcoming releases have given tech enthusiasts a preview of what to expect from the OnePlus 11 5G and Oppo Find X6 Pro’s successors. Both phones are expected to run on the rumored Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and support fast charging at up to 150W.
The information about “at least three” new smartphones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processors was leaked by the tipster. The tipper claims that these phones will have 2K displays with narrow, slightly curved screens that support high-frequency dimming.
The tipster also revealed the three smartphones’ charging capacities, claiming that they will support 100W, 150W, and 240W wired charging. According to the report, all three phones will support 50W wireless charging.
The tipster hasn’t yet revealed the names or model numbers of these smartphones or any other information about them. However, according to a report citing a Twitter user, one of the three phones will be the OnePlus 12, which supports both 50W and 150W of wireless charging. At 100W and 50W, respectively, the Oppo Find X7 Pro is said to support wired and wireless charging.
According to the report, both smartphones will have curved displays that support high-frequency pulse width modulation (PWM) dimming. Both phones will have thin bezels, in the meantime. It is important to note that OnePlus and Oppo have not yet released any information about the release of these alleged handsets.
A tip from last month stated that the OnePlus 12 would be released in December. According to the leaked timeline for the release of the following OnePlus flagship device, the device may be among the first to come with Qualcomm’s upcoming high-end chipset.
According to a different report, OnePlus may use a Samsung 2K OLED display on the rumored OnePlus 12. The phone’s screen is tipped to support a 120Hz refresh rate and a quad-HD+ resolution. However, since the OnePlus 12 and Oppo Find X7 Pro aren’t expected to go on sale in China for several months, it is best to take these assertions with a grain of salt.
