At MWC 2023, OnePlus announced that it is developing a foldable smartphone. The first foldable device from the Pete Lau-led company is expected to launch in the third quarter. A new report claims that the OnePlus Fold and Oppo’s upcoming Find N3 smartphones will share a similar design language, despite the Chinese smartphone manufacturer remaining mum about the details of its first foldable device. Additionally, the camera module of the OnePlus Fold may resemble that of the Oppo Find X6 that was unveiled in China in March. A 50-megapixel triple rear camera system is featured on the Oppo Find X6. The recently released Pixel Fold also has a form factor resembling a book.
According to 91mobiles’ report, which was based on information provided by reputable tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh), the upcoming OnePlus Fold will fold like a book and resemble the Oppo Find N3. The camera module on the upcoming foldable smartphone will be the same as that on the Oppo Find X6. A 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor, a 48-megapixel Sony IMX581 lens, and a 32-megapixel sensor make up the camera setup of the outgoing Oppo Find X6.
According to rumors, the Oppo Find N3, which will replace the Oppo Find N and Find N2, is also in development. It is claimed to have an internal 8-inch display with a resolution of 2,268 x 2,440 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The Oppo Find N3’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC from Qualcomm is anticipated to power it. It might have a 32-megapixel sensor on the internal screen and a 20-megapixel selfie camera on the cover display. A 4,805mAh battery is anticipated to be included as well.
