Soon, Malaysia will host the launch of the Oppo A98 5G. Through its social media channel, the Chinese smartphone vendor has announced the release of a new A-series model. The A-series smartphone has been listed on the company’s official website, revealing key specifications ahead of an official launch. A 64-megapixel rear camera and 67W SuperVOOC charging support are promised for the Oppo A98 5G. The handset’s display is capable of a 120Hz refresh rate. 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage are confirmed specifications for the Oppo A98 5G.
The new Oppo A98 5G has arrived in Malaysia, according to Oppo, which confirmed this via its official Twitter account. The company has revealed the specifications of the phone on its Malaysian website. Additionally, it has begun taking pre-orders for the phone. The smartphone’s precise launch date and price range are still unknown.
It has been hinted that the Oppo A98 5G will have a 120Hz refresh rate display. The selfie sensor is housed in a hole-punch cutout in the display. It is confirmed to have a triple rear camera system supported by AI, with a 64-megapixel primary sensor and a 40x microlens camera magnification as its focal point. A 5,000mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC charging support will power the upcoming smartphone.
The Oppo A98 5G is listed with color options in black and blue. It has been confirmed to be equipped with an unnamed Snapdragon SoC, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of storage. With the help of unused onboard storage, the built-in RAM can be increased up to 16GB.
According to a recent leak, the Oppo A98 5G will run ColorOS 13 on top of Android 13 and have a 6.7-inch LTPS LCD display with 1,080×2,400 pixels. An alleged Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC is said to power it. A 32-megapixel camera sensor is anticipated to be present at the front.
