The majority of the top-tier smartphones currently on the market have up to 16GB of RAM. This may soon change, as there are online rumors claiming that upcoming smartphones could have up to 24GB of RAM. OnePlus, Oppo, and Realme, all owned by BBK Electronics in China, appear to be preparing to introduce the 24GB RAM smartphone. The additional onboard memory would aid in multitasking and gaming and could surpass the memory capacity of the typical laptop without ever needing to worry about app reloading times.
According to well-known tipper, smartphones with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM are in the works. He claims that the “Oga group,” which could be an acronym for Oppo, OnePlus, or Realme, has begun to popularize smartphones with large onboard memory.
According to reports, new flagship phones from companies owned by BBK Electronics will have a minimum of 16GB of RAM and a maximum of 24GB of RAM. The retention rate of ColorOS is also said to increase with the 24GB of RAM.
But neither Realme, OnePlus, nor Oppo have made any official announcements about their intentions to introduce new phones with up to 24GB of RAM. Therefore, it is advised to take this information with a grain of salt.
The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, which is expected to officially launch in either July or August, may be the first smartphone with 24GB of RAM. The rumored smartphone is expected to have a display with similar specs to the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+. The 6.74-inch display on the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is anticipated to have a 1440Hz Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) frequency. The BOE’s 1.5K OLED display might have a 1,240 x 2,772 pixel resolution. The selfie sensor may be housed inside a hole-punch cutout in the center of the display, which may also have curved edges.
An unnamed octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SoC is anticipated to power it. A 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64M primary sensor, an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 sensor, and a 2-megapixel GalaxyCore GC02M sensor are said to be the three rear cameras on the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro. A battery with a capacity of 5,000mAh and support for 100W fast charging may power the smartphone.
