Although the OnePlus 12 isn’t expected to go on sale until later this year, online rumors about the device have already begun to circulate. According to a recent leak, the smartphone will feature a 2K resolution display and the yet-to-be-announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The OnePlus 12’s CAD renderings have now been revealed thanks to a tip. The renderings show off the upcoming phone’s design and hint at some of its most important features. The phone is anticipated to be released by OnePlus in December.
The OnePlus 12’s design and features are suggested by the leaked renders. According to reports, the renders are based on actual photographs of a test unit. According to the renderings, the OnePlus 11 successor’s design is largely similar to that of the outgoing device. It is seen having a camera island that is very similar in appearance and a rear panel finished in sandstone.
According to the OnePlus 12 renders, the top center of the display will have a hole-punch cutout. In contrast to the OnePlus 11, which had a cutout in the top left corner of the screen, this has no such feature. Additionally, the bezels around the screen appear to be thinner than they were before. Similar to the previous model, the volume buttons are on the left side, with the alert slider and power button visible on the right spine.
Now, the camera setup seems to be the most significant improvement made to the OnePlus 12, at least from the outside. There are now three sensors, including what appears to be a periscope camera. This is novel because the OnePlus 11 only had a conventional telephoto lens available. However, the Hasselblad branding is still visible, which suggests that the camera app will likely continue to receive software updates.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC-equipped OnePlus 12 is anticipated to go on sale in December of this year. The renders and the claimed 2K resolution OLED display with curved edges are both present in the device. The device is anticipated to offer 50W wireless charging in addition to 150W wired fast charging.
