Agha Hassan Baloch, the federal minister for science and technology, has stated his conviction that the National University of Science and Technology’s (NUST) projected Khuzdar campus will mark a significant turning point for the Balochistani education and research sectors.
The Minister reviewed several elements of the creation of the Khuzdar campus with NUST Rector Lt. Gen. (r) Javed Mehmood Bukhari, concentrating on the advancement of higher education in science and technology in the underserved parts of Balochistan.
The Minister went over the possible advantages the campus would have for the area and said that the Ministry of Science and Technology would write a letter to the Chairman of NUST’s Board of Governors (BoG) to stress the significance of the project.
The project’s inclusion in the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) for the upcoming fiscal year and the start of work on the PC-I (Preparation of Cost Estimates and Implementation) were also mentioned during the discussion.
The group also resolved to build a Khuzdar Block at the NUST Balochistan Campus in Quetta on the Minister’s advice. The Khuzdar campus would play a significant role in the growth of the area, significantly enhancing the educational and research opportunities that are now present in the area.
The Khuzdar campus is anticipated to be crucial to the growth of the area and will give Balochistan’s education and research industries a much-needed boost.
The creation of the campus will facilitate the region’s growth and development and is a step in the right direction in addressing the shortage of educational and research opportunities in the area.
The Ministry of Science and Technology will continue to cooperate with NUST to create the Khuzdar campus and will make every effort to see that it develops into a premier institution in Balochistan that offers the greatest learning and research opportunities to the professors and students.
