On Monday, the outstanding faculty and students from Pakistan Navy Engineering College (PNEC) unveiled their Formula Electric Racing Car. A team of 14 people, including both boys and girls, put in unrelentingly hard work to create this Formula Electric Racing NUST (FERN). In July 2023, the United Kingdom will host the Formula Student competition, and FERN is scheduled to participate.
The 350 V battery powering the electric vehicle needs to be charged for at least two hours. Bilal Muhammad Khan, the faculty adviser and the Associate Professor of PNEC, claimed that a 14-member team made up of 7 girls and 7 boys, as well as 25 trainees from the mechanical and electrical departments of the university, took on this project
While speaking at the event, Commandant Tauqeer Ahmed Khawaja praised the efforts of students, particularly girls. FERN is one of the top societies at the university, he continued. The team and the parents were praised by the team manager, Ali Kashif.
In 2012, the Pakistan Navy Engineering College, NUST (PNEC) students debuted a Formula Car in Germany. Best wishes are with the FERN team this time even though they were unable to succeed.
