Pakistan, New Zealand and Bangladesh have qualified for the Super 12 stage of the upcoming T20 World Cup and they will be looking at this series to prepare for the ICC event. Pakistan have recently played a seven-match T20I series against England and have flown to New Zealand

The Kiwis’ most recent international match was an ODI series in Australia versus Australia. However, they were unable to pick up a victory, making this tri-series the ideal preparation for the T20 World Cup. They defeated the West Indies 2-1 in their most recent T20I match.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, has had trouble finding rhythm in the shortest format. They suffered a defeat to Zimbabwe away from home and were also kicked out of the Asia Cup group stage.

All matches are scheduled to be played at Christchurch’s Hagley Oval. On October 7, Bangladesh and Pakistan will play in the inaugural match. The final will take place on October 14 at the same location.
