New Zealand elected to Bowl first against Pakistan

New Zealand won the toss and chose to bowl first against Pakistan in the first of three One Day International (ODI) matches today at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

After winning the toss, New Zealand captain Tom Latham declared that his team would bowl first. He stated that the pitch appeared to be suitable for bowling and that his team would try to limit Pakistan to a low total.

The match is New Zealand’s first visit to Pakistan in 18 years and is seen as a significant step toward the country’s return to international cricket. New Zealand last played in Pakistan in 2003 when they were on a tour of the country.
