Just over a week after going missing without a trace, NEW security footage of a missing teacher has surfaced.
After dropping off a friend at their house on the evening of September 27, Jennifer Mendez Olascoaga, 24, vanished.
“We’re just out here on Belt Line trying to get maybe some footage, spread the word out here if anybody saw her last. You know, just trying to get something,” Olascoaga’s brother-in-law, Marco Barroso, told local NBC affiliate KXAS.
Late last week, according to Barroso, the family discovered fresh CCTV footage from the night Olascoaga vanished.
On September 27, shortly after 8 o’clock in the evening, she was seen at a QuickTrip gas station in Seagoville, Texas, a small town southeast of Dallas.
She was observed dropping off a pal at the Creekside Mobile Home Park in Seagoville just moments before.
The white 2015 Buick La Crosse that Olascoaga was driving was discovered abandoned the following morning near Mesquite, roughly 10 minutes away.
Family members said that Olascoaga’s phone and pocketbook were missing from the vehicle and that the driver’s seat was not set up as normal.
After she didn’t show up for work in Dallas on September 28, her family formally reported her missing.
However, the investigation was turned over to Seagoville police on October 1 because there is where Olascoaga was last seen.
