Nearly a month after going missing, a musician is still unaccounted for, and friends have now provided additional details on her last sighting.
Gretchen Fleming, 28, was last seen on December 4 in Parkersburg, West Virginia’s My Way Lounge and Restaurant.
Her friends claimed Gretchen was “very drunk” and had misplaced her purse that evening.
She was allegedly spotted with a “older male” who was described as having “white” hair, according to witnesses at the bar.
There aren’t many specifics about Gretchen’s possible location.
Police reportedly searched a potential suspect’s residence, but no other details have been made public.
Gretchen’s high school friends have planned vigils in her honour in the hopes that she will get home safely.
One of Gretchen’s pals, Jake Grim, admitted to being “rattled” by the situation and claiming that no one had “seen any camera footage of anything” to Dateline.
“She was at multiple spots. You know, the last place she was seen to everyone was the My Way,” he said, adding that a timeline hasn’t been established despite weeks passing since her disappearance.
“It seems like she was going to multiple different places that night,” said Grim.
Nobody has been able to corroborate Gretchen’s attire or mode of transportation, though.
Gretchen was described by Grim as a “travelled, very well-spoken” individual who “is heavily influenced by music.”
The woman’s father, David Fleming, told Dateline: “We love her. She was affected by something. I am at a loss for words.
“Tomorrow would be her 28th birthday,” he said on December 23.
“She’s an amazing little girl. I just want her home.”
The Parkersburg Police Department has been in charge of the investigation since her disappearance was reported on December 12.
“If you have any information on the current whereabouts of Gretchen Fleming, 27 of Vienna, please contact Detective J.M. Zimmerman at 304-424-1072 or your local law enforcement agency,” read a post by the department on Facebook.
The police claimed they were carrying out several search warrants based on leads and tips they had been given when they searched a home on December 15.
Grim claimed that not much has altered with relation to her investigation, nevertheless.
“The cops are investigating and we just want her information out there and for everyone all around and over to know who she is and that she is missing,” he said.
“The family is putting their trust into the detectives to let them do their job.”
