After disturbing new surveillance was uncovered, the mysterious disappearance of a flight attendant who was last seen aboard her boyfriend’s yacht is still unsolved.
Sarm Heslop, a former flight attendant, vanished on her American boyfriend’s private yacht in the U.S. Virgin Islands more than a year ago. Now, her family is asking the police for a video.
Heslop’s friends and family have requested that authorities make public a surveillance film that shows her last known whereabouts before going missing.
According to Fox News, police gave the video to Heslop’s parents in March 2022, about a year after she vanished.
However, police allegedly refused to give them a copy of the film despite their request, according to a statement made public on Monday.
The statement states, “During the meeting, Sarm’s parents were given CCTV footage of Sarm and Ryan after they left the bar 420 to Center.”
“Despite previously advising that on the night Sarm went missing there was no CCTV footage recorded!
“Sarm’s Mother, Brenda Street, has confirmed that the footage was stopped by the U.S. Virgin Islands Police before the end of the recording.”
The family claimed that some of what Bane told police may be in conflict with the footage.
Ryan Bane, Heslop’s 44-year-old lover, reported her missing in March 2021 and was told by authorities to call the U.S. Coast Guard if she fell from his opulent 47-foot catamaran, the Siren Song.
Heslop, 41, hasn’t been seen since the previous evening when she went to a bar close to his mooring with Bane.
She was observed leaving the bar with Bane, but police were unable to establish whether she went back to the yacht, according to Fox News.
In 2011, Bane was found guilty of assaulting his ex-wife Corie Stevenson.
She reportedly had a chipped tooth, scrapes on her face and neck, and other wounds when police arrived.
His ex-girlfriend stated Bane was abusive physically and verbally, easily agitated, and would lie about anything in numerous interviews.
