According to NEOM’s website, NEOM Airlines will begin operations by the end of the fourth quarter of 2024, as stated by its CEO Klaus Goersch.
The airline is committed to facilitating travel to and from NEOM for a variety of individuals, including tourists, residents, and commercial partners. NEOM Airlines will be thought of as an extension of the NEOM project, encompassing the location, the company, and the vision.
“We are here to facilitate the destination.” “Our goal is a holistic and interconnected approach, with NEOM Airlines enabling NEOM’s gross domestic product,” says Goersch, a former British Airways and Air Canada chief operating officer.
“Because NEOM’s resorts will open in early 2024, we need to meet demand quickly, initially retrofitting existing aircraft with existing technology.” However, beginning in 2026, we will be introducing new innovative aircraft, whether electric, hydrogen-powered, or supersonic, as well as next-generation interiors. “We’re already talking to plane, interior, and seat manufacturers,” he says.
Initially, NEOM Airlines will fly from NEOM Bay Airport, which is already operational and serves Saudia flights both domestically and internationally, including London and Dubai.
As a result, the airline intends to expand operations to NEOM International Airport.
NEOM Airlines and the associated airport infrastructure will be built from the ground up, taking into account past mistakes and leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as biometrics and artificial intelligence.
