Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Imam ul Haq, Shan Masood, Hassan Ali, Aamir Jamal, and Shaheen Shah Afridi were all in attendance.
A number of ex-cricketers, including Moin Khan, Arshad Khan, Mohammad Akram, and Waqar Younis, attended and participated in the festivities.
The weather in Rawalpindi prevented the national players from attending the reception, so they were unable to attend Haris Rauf’s wedding ceremony.
According to PCB sources, the Pakistani team management decided to prevent players from traveling to Rawalpindi because of the unfavorable weather.
Today is the scheduled departure date for the Babar Azam-led team’s trip to Sri Lanka for a Test series.
The national players’ original travel schedule called for them to fly from Karachi to Rawalpindi on Friday night to attend the wedding, with their return flight scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
For the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka, the Pakistani team wrapped up its training camp at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi yesterday.
