The renowned mountaineer Naila Kiani has been granted permission by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to receive the Sitara-i-Imtiaz civil award in honor of her successful ascent of Mount Everest. The outstanding accomplishment of Kiani, who recently became the second Pakistani woman to conquer Mount Everest, will be recognized.
All required procedures for the award must be completed, according to a notification from the Prime Minister’s Office. With her recent successful ascent of Mount Lhotse, the fourth-highest mountain in the world, Kiani also accomplished the amazing feat of becoming the first Pakistani woman to summit six 8,000-meter mountains.
