NA 24 Charsadda Bye Election 2022: Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI), and Aimal Wali Khan, the provincial leader of the Awami National Party (ANP), are vying for the NA-24 Charsadda-II seat, which will be decided on October 16.
Following the returning officer’s review of the nine candidates’ nomination papers, including PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan and ANP Provincial President Aimal Wali Khan, all eyes are now focused on NA-24 Charsadda-II, where a head-to-head struggle is anticipated between them.
Aimal Wali Khan, the son of ANP President Asfandyar Wali Khan and a joint candidate of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), is running for a national assembly seat in his hometown of Charsadda for the first time. He is expected to give PTI Chairman a hard time. The results of previous elections showed that ANP had won the district a record six times, compared to JUIF’s three victories and PTI’s lone victory.
Asfandyar Wali Khan, the president of the ANP, won this constituency three times during general elections conducted between 1970 and 2018, Khan Abdul Wali Khan twice, and Begium Nasim Wali Khan once. In the 1990 election, Maulana Hassan Jan Shaheed of the JUIF won, and Maulana Gohar Shah won twice.

NA 24 Charsadda Bye Election 2022
The timetable for the NA-24 Charsadda by-election was released by the Pakistani Election Commission on August 5, 2022. The last day to submit nomination papers was August 13, 2022. On August 29, 2022, the updated and final list containing the symbols of every candidate running in the NA 24 Charsadda Bye-Election 2022 was released. Imran Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Sparlay Mohmand, and Aimal Wali Khan ran for office in N.A-24 in the By-Election of 2022. Election day in 2022 was October 16.
