In the PSL 2023, there are six teams. They are Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi, Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans, and Quetta Gladiators. For the trophy, these teams will all compete against one another.
Throughout PSL 2023, 34 matches will be played. Each side will play the opposing team twice during the league stage. The top four teams in the standings after the league stage advance to the playoffs. Two of the weakest teams will be dropped. On March 19, the championship game will take held in Lahore.
Multan Sultans will be motivated to turn things around after losing to Lahore in a hard-fought contest in the first game. The team led by Mohammad Rizwan will aim to score their first points on the PSL points chart and begin their season.
Shahnawaz Dahani, the Sultans’ standout pacer, will not be playing because of a finger injury that will keep him out of the competition. Wayne Parnell and Josh Little are also unlikely to play because of personal injury worries. To win, Multan will have to perform heroically.
The Quetta Gladiators, on the other side, will want to have a successful opening to their campaign. Quetta will be motivated to advance farther this time around after missing out on the PSL playoffs the past two seasons.
Iftikhar Ahmed, Jason Roy, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Hasnain, and Martin Guptill are all available to them, and they appear to be the favourites on paper.
Nine PSL matches between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators resulted in five Multan victories and four Quetta victories.
The team led by Sarfaraz Ahemd will try to win the eagerly awaited match in order to improve their record against Multan.
