Before the 1st death anniversary of 27-year-first old Noor Mukadam , a video message from the mother of Noor Mukadam, who was brutally killed in Islamabad last year, has been making the rounds on social media.
The video begins with the mother of Noor saying, “It will be a year since Noor separated from us on July 20. She said that she, her family, and other relatives were aware of their recent activities.
“We haven’t slept at night and haven’t found comfort during the day either since our daughter left.”

On Wednesday, July 20, she invited all women to congregate in F9 park to stand with her in remembrance of Noor and defend the safety of their daughters.
She stated that she didn’t want any other daughters or girls to experience Noor’s destiny.
The murder
On July 20, 2021, Noor, who was 27 years old, was discovered dead at the home of her assassin Zahir Jaffer in affluent Sector F-7/4 of Islamabad.
On the day of the killing, Zahir was detained with a murder weapon and blood-stained clothing from the crime scene after a first information report (FIR) was filed under Section 302 (premeditated murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) on behalf of Noor’s father, former Pakistani ambassador Shaukat Ali Mukadam.
According to Noor’s father, Zahir used a sharp object to kill Noor and cut off her head.
On October 20, 2021, Zahir was formally charged with the crime by an Islamabad court, which marked the beginning of the trial. Along with Zahoor, two other members of the family’s staff, Jamil and Jan Mohammad, were also charged.
Zahir attempted to establish his mental illness throughout the trial, which had a total of 25 hearings. The trial court found him to be mentally and physically fit and later gave him the death penalty. The judgement hasn’t been carried out yet, though, and the defendants have filed appeals against the terms imposed on them.
