In Lahore, torrential monsoon rain broke a record that had stood for 30 years. The provincial capital received 291 millimeters (mm) of rain in 10 hours, according to the most recent update.
More than a dozen locations across the city recorded rainfall totals of more than 200 mm. As a result, several roads and walkways throughout the provincial capital are submerged.

On June 26 of this year, Lahore received 256 mm of rain at its highest, compared to 238 mm in 2022. Up until this year, Lahore saw 288 mm of rainfall, which was the second-highest total.
Lahore Commissioner claims that the city has not experienced this much rain in the previous three decades. As a result, several inches of water have been added to all low-lying areas.
Ghufran Ahmad, the managing director of WASA, has promised that the water will be removed as soon as the rain stops.
