Just days ahead of the draft on Sunday, renowned wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan has pulled out of the eagerly anticipated Big Bash League (BBL).
Mohammad Rizwan was expected to be selected in the first round of the draft, which will take place on September 3 in Australia, according to reports in the media.
His national team obligations during the first half of the BBL have limited his availability, though.
There are 376 international players available for the Big Bash League draft from 29 cricket-playing nations. 76 cricket players from Pakistan have signed up for the draft overall.
In the draft for the 13th season of the league, notable Pakistani athletes like Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, Shadab Khan, and Mohammad Hasnain will take part.
Asif Ali, Faheem Ashraf, Shadab Khan, and Haris Rauf are among the athletes who have already established themselves in the league while playing for various teams.
Haris Rauf has expressed interest in staying with the Melbourne Stars for the upcoming season, a choice that is bolstered by his remarkable Big Bash record of 30 wickets.
Mohammad Hasnain is also looking forward to playing again after being cleared by the ICC to do so after serving a suspension for an illegal act.
