The body of a pregnant lady who went missing and her unborn child have been discovered in two different places in Missouri, according to authorities.
The discovery of Ashley Bush‘s remains on Thursday was confirmed by Shawn Holloway, sheriff of Benton County.
According to Holloway, her infant was discovered the day before in a different area.
Bush, 33, apparently suffered a gunshot wound to the body, according to Benton County prosecutor Nathan Smith.
Bush passed away around 31 weeks along with her pregnancy.
According to Holloway, there are two people in detention. Amber Waterman and Jamie Waterman, are both being held in McDonald County Jail.
The husband and wife are accused of kidnapping by the federal government, but Smith warned that further accusations could be added.
In my personal experience, this is one of the most awful situations, said Holloway.
Police are looking into how Bush, an Arkansas native, and Amber Waterman connected online.
On October 31, Bush was last saw with a woman she met online who she believed was assisting her in finding work.
“Lucy” was the name of the woman who was supposed to be accompanying Bush to an interview.
Authorities suspect that while chatting with Bush, Amber Waterman was posing as “Lucy.”
To review the case’s jurisdictional laws, Arkansas authorities are coordinating with Missouri agencies.
