Famous TikTok beauty influencer Mikayla Nogueira is receiving a lot of heat for a 2021 video in which she bemoans the challenges of working as a full-time influencer and compares it to a 9–5 job. Even one supporter referred to her as “totally tone deaf.” Mikayla is one of those well-known influencers that Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, and Addison Rae follow.
What Is The Mikayla Nogue TikTok Controversy?
A well-known beauty influencer with over 13.5 million followers on TikTok thanks to her excellent beauty lessons is Mikayla Nogueira. Fans have now come forward to criticise her for joining the group of “totally tone deaf influencers.” The beauty influencer, who has Lady Gaga, Addison Rae, and Selena Gomez among her followers, is currently dealing with a huge backlash over a 2021 video.
Mikayla can be seen describing her day and asserting that being a beauty influencer is incredibly challenging in the popular video. Further contrasting it with the typical 9–5 employment, she added that she ended her work at 5:19 and that it wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea.
The influencer, who is 24 years old, declared, “I rise at 6 a.m. I film video content for three to four videos over the course of around five to six hours, and I then spend a few hours editing that video content. She issued the following challenge to everyone: “Be an influencer for a day.”
“Try being an influencer for a day. Try it. Because the people who say it’s easy are so far out of their minds, try it for a day. It’s not for everybody. In fact, it’s for a very small handful of people who can actually do this job because it’s absolutely f**king insane. You do not want to have this job, I’m just saying.”
Where Did The Drama Start?
Internet users have also exposed Mikayla in the midst of this intense outrage after she repeated previous remarks she is said to have made on American businesswoman Jaclyn Hill’s Instagram account. One creator, @openlyfake, was among the first to call Mikayla out for repeatedly leaving hurtful comments on Hill’s Instagram pictures.
“Must be nice to be rich and all you do is film videos for YouTube,” Mikayla allegedly wrote on a video Jaclyn shared of her bedroom in 2018. Texas-based creator Elisa Tam also claimed that she fact-checked the video and then shared a screen recording of the comments. In a follow-up video, Mikayla commented on Jaclyn’s Instagram: “I literally just finished working, it’s 5:19. Try being an influencer for a day, try it.” Well, this is where all the drama began.
