The domestically built crossover SUV variant, the MG HS Essence, now costs up to Rs. 13 lacs more thanks to MG JW Automobile. The business stated in a notification that MG hasn’t raised the price of MG HS Essence since its launch in 2022, despite significant currency devaluation. The business continued, “However, the price rise is now necessary due to the application of 18% Sales Tax as well as FX impact.”
New Price of MG HS Essence
- The new price for consumers with delivery time of February/March 2023 is Rs. 6,999,000 compared to Rs. 6,899,000, meaning they have to pay extra Rs. 100,000. These vehicles to be invoiced from February 14, 2023 onwards.
- Meanwhile, the new price on all new orders and delivery time in April 2023 is Rs. 8,199,000, meaning it observed a jump of Rs. 1,300,000.
The new prices are applicable from February 15, 2023.
