When Germany plays Spain on Sunday night, a group of gorgeous WAGs will be there to support the team.
Hansi Flick’s team is in desperate need of a result after Costa Rica’s victory over Japan earlier in the day. They lost their tournament opener to Japan on Wednesday. The four-time champions might be ousted at the group stage for the second straight World Cup if they lose to Spain.
A group of wives and girlfriends, including a model who risks a sex ban if Germany loses and a partner who blocked a move to Manchester United, will be in the audience. Here are a few WAGs to be on the lookout for.
Sara Gundogan
Ilkay Gundogan, a player for Manchester City, first met Sara, an Italian model, in 2021; they later were married in May of this year.
The stunning woman, who was born in France, is also a Rai 1 television presenter. Earlier this year, she made controversial remarks about Manchester.
She described the local restaurants as “awful” and expressed her dissatisfaction with the city’s dining alternatives, where she shares a home with Gundogan.
Izabel Goulart
Izabel Goulart has been with goalkeeper Kevin Trapp since 2015, and she is arguably the most well-known partner of a Germany international.
She previously shocked spectators in Qatar by transforming one of Trapp’s jerseys into a dress. She was formerly a Victoria’s Secret model.
On Sunday night, Goulart will be hoping for three points because if his team loses, Trapp will forbid her from sleeping with him.
In a shocking interview from 2018, she disclosed: “We have sex frequently — four or five times a week — with Kevin. However, there won’t be any sex even if I dress up nicely, get my nails done, and wear my best lingerie if he participated in a crucial game and his team loses.”
Lisa Muller
Because of her achievements as a dressage rider in Germany, Lisa Muller, the wife of Thomas Muller, is well-known in her own right.
Her remarks about Muller’s career and her disagreements with two of his former Bayern Munich coaches have also garnered media attention.
Louis van Gaal said that she refused to move to Manchester United because she didn’t want to live there, and after Muller was benched under his leadership, she openly criticised Nico Kovac.
Christina Ginter
Muller is not the only vocal WAG, either; following the defeat to Japan, Matthias Ginter’s wife Christina vented on Instagram.
Christina posted a picture of her goosebumps while lamenting how cold it was in the stands due to the air conditioning that had been installed to deal with the extreme heat in Qatar.
Ginter, a current Freiburg player, wed Christina in 2018; the two are parents to one child.
Mario Gotze, the World Cup-winning goal scorer from 2014, is back in the squad for this year’s competition and will be supported by Ann-Kathrin Brommel, his spouse of ten years.
The couple started dating in 2012, and they were wed in 2018. In her own country, Brommel is best recognised for placing in the top 50 on Germany’s Next Top Model.
Outside of her modelling career, Brommel is a vocal opponent of actual fur use in the fashion business and a supporter of the animal welfare organisation PETA.
Eva Katharina

Left-back David Raum has the support of his girlfriend Eva Katharina in Qatar, although the couple have largely kept their relationship private.
On social media, where she frequently posts photos from her excursions to places like Ibiza and Mykonos, she has revealed she has travelled to the Middle East for the event.
After earning the first of his 13 Germany caps in September of last year, Raum, who joined RB Leipzig in the summer, is taking part in his first significant international competition.
