PMLN to kick start its election campaign in Punjab from 1st february with a series of Jalsas and workers convention scheduled throughtout the month. PMLN has announced a schedule of Maryam Nawaz’s Jalsas.
The itinerary of Maryam Nawaz, senior vice president and chief organiser of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN), was announced by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on Monday.
In a statement, she said Maryam Nawaz would start her tours from February 1 and address workers’ convention in Bahawalpur. An organisational meeting of the party would be held on Feb 2 in Bahawalpur, added the statement.
On Feb 5, a PMLN convention would be held in Multan, whereas the organisational meeting of the party would be held on Feb 6 in that city. On Feb 9, Maryam would address a PMLN convention in Abbottabad, and party’s organisational meeting would be held on Feb 10.
On Feb 15, Maryam would address a convention and rally in Dera Ghazi Khan, the statement said adding that on Feb 16, she would preside over an organisational meeting of the party in the same city.
A PMLN workers’ convention would be held in Rawalpindi on Feb 19, whereas the party organisational meeting would be held the next day, on Feb 20. On Feb 23, Maryam would address a workers’ convention in Sargodha, and preside over the party organisational meeting on Feb 24.
In Sahiwal, workers’ convention would be held on Feb 27, and party’s organisational meeting would be held on Feb 28. The minister said in Gujranwala, workers’ convention would be held on March 3, and party organisational meeting would be held on March 4.
In Sheikhupura, workers’ convention would be held on March 7, and party organisational meeting on March 8, said the statement. In Faisalabad, workers’ convention would be held on March 11, and party’s organisational meeting on March 12. In Peshawar, workers’ convention on March 15 and party organisational meeting would be held on March 16.
According to the announcement, the workers’ convention and party organisational conference will each take place in the Lahore division on March 19 and 20, respectively. On March 23, Maryam Nawaz would visit Quetta and speak at a workers’ convention. On March 24, she would preside over the party’s organisational meeting there. Additionally, on March 27 in Karachi and March 28, at the party’s organisational meeting, Maryam Nawaz would deliver a speech.

Addressing the PML-N workers in Lahore, the senior party leader reiterated that Nawaz would be among them soon — a topic that has been widely speculated about.

“These [establishment] people ousted Nawaz from the government again and again. You brought him into power thrice but these people toppled his governments,” she said.
The PML-N leader termed the ouster of Sharif on July 28, 2017, in the Panama leaks case as a “national tragedy”, adding that Pakistan has not recovered since then.
Maryam vowed that she would not rest until her party changes the fate of the nation and steers the country out of the ongoing crisis — both economic and political.
“All the characters who hatched a conspiracy against Nawaz have to pay the price for their actions,” the PML-N senior vice president said, who will now lead the party’s efforts ahead of the provincial elections.
Maryam thanked Nawaz, PML-N President and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and the party workers for posing their trust in her leadership and assigning her new responsibilities.
